Student Ambassador:

The student Ambassador (SA) is the voice for Letters to Hope. The SA is responsible for getting the word out of Letters to Hope at their school, in hopes of motivating other students to start a Letters to Hope club.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Have a deep understanding of Letters to Hope and volunteer recruitment approaches.

  • Recruit and mentor future Letters to Hope volunteers (student officers).

  • Must relate well with students.

  • Ability to implement innovative, creative approaches to mentor recruitment.

  • Ability to set and achieve mentor recruitment goals.

  • Ability to track, monitor, and report performance.

High School Club Officer

The High School Club Officer, is in charge of starting a Letters to Hope club at their school. The officer is in charge of motivating three or four students at their school to run the club. Once the club is approved at the school, all officers must work together to find members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Start a Letters to Hope Club

  • Promote Letters to Hope at their school to motivate other students to join the club.

  • Stay up to date with the Letters to Hope projects

  • Provide tutoring services at local public libraries working with Ready Set Learn.

  • Communicate well with their Volunteer Coordinator.

College Club Officer

The College Club Officer is in charge of starting a Letters to Hope club at their university or community college. The officer is in charge of motivating three or four students at their school to run the club with them. Once the club is approved at the school, all officers must work together to find members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Start a Letters to Hope Club

  • Promote Letters to Hope at their school to motivate other students to join the club.

  • Stay up to date with the Letters to Hope projects

  • Communicate well with their city volunteer coordinator

  • Provide tutoring services at local public libraries working with Ready Set Learn.

Volunteer Coordinator

 The Volunteer Coordinator is in charge of  scouting, and recruiting students to start their own Letters to Hope club at their school.  The Volunteer Coordinator communicates well with the board members, their potential student volunteers. Coordinators organize meetings with their volunteers and presidents (High school and College). * Must be 18 years and older.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Communicate well with the board members. 

  • Organize once a month meetings with their student volunteers (High School and College).

  • Stay up-to-date with the CURRENT and UPCOMING projects of Letters to Hope. 

  • Must share upcoming events and scholarships with their student volunteers.
